The History Behind the Collection

This journey began with a single shirt! The Carmen Harlan Collection is named after its founder and creator, known for her 38 years as Detroit's most popular, award winning anchor at WDIV-TV. She and daughter Jessica Hall have infused the same qualities that kept the audience coming back for more, into a line of blouses that are sure to be the "go-to piece in any wardrobe!

The inspiration for the collection comes from a blouse Harlan had as a young mom and wore until the threads gave way. Unable to find anything similar, she had it remade. It was her husband's idea to make the blouse into a collection.

No stranger to fashion, Harlan believes the seeds were sown early and credits her mother's fashion forward confidence and style as having the biggest influence.

Classic, chic, timeless, and liberating describe her debut collection. With names like "Coco", "Diana", and "Michelle", the CHC pay tribute to women, past and present, who reflect the strength and character she admires!

At CHC, we know that "time" is as important as "selecting" what to wear. Each piece is made from high quality, exclusive fabrics imported from Italy. The collaboration of Carmen, Jessica and their Creative Director, Pingpong Khumwan of Maison Khoomwan, is committed to designing the perfect blouse you will have forever. Wear it with or without a belt, casual or dressy, formal or by the pool, the CHC's got you covered! (No pun intended!) Find one or more that best suits your lifestyle. The CHC woman knows who she is, and where she's going. While she may not know exactly how she'll get here, she is confident and will!

The collection's theme, "...and Now Bring on the Fun" is our reminder to make time for fun too, especially when wearing the blouse!
